Join Liv Ambassadors Sarah Gravelle-Mackenzie and Rose McDonald for social rides
that aim to encourage and support women 55+ to get out and ride their bikes. It will be a
great opportunity to develop your confidence and skills while riding. This initiative is
supported by Bikes and Beyond and Woodcock Cycle Works who will provide
opportunities to build your knowledge of basic bike maintenance through a workshop.
Times:
Northeast Chapter Rides – Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
Meet Up @ 7:45 a.m. | Ride Starts @ 8:00 a.m.
South Chapter Rides – Wednesday
Meet Up @ 8:15 a.m.| Ride Starts @ 8:30 a.m.
Location: Routes in the Northeast and South areas: Transcona Trail, Gateway/ Chief
Peguis Trails, Duff Roblin Trail, Bishop Grandin Greenway East and West trails, Bois
des Esprits, Creek Bend Trail, Shorehill Drive. The routes will be on bike paths and trails
and some quiet streets as the summer progresses. All rides are no-drop.
Level of experience: All levels
Objectives: To encourage and support women to get out and ride their bikes and to
build a community of like-minded woman that support the physical, mental and social
well-being of women 55+. Inspire and motivate more women to get out and ride their
bikes and have fun.
