Sunday, June 17th- The 4th Annual Blessing of the Bikes- 10:30am
The first Blessing of the Bicycles was held at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City in 1999. Our first Blessing of the Bikes in 2015 had more participants than the first one in NYC. Their event has since grown steadily and now has hundreds of people attending. We would like to see our Blessing of the Bikes grow each year too. Come out and get yourself and your bike blessed in this unique interfaith, non-sectarian service at Knox United Church (right across from Central Park on Edmonton Street north of Ellice). Cyclists will meet in the park prior to and can bring bikes up the ramp at 406 Edmonton or carry them up the stairs at the corner entrances together.Sunday, June 17 - Learn to bike from Kildonan Park to the Forks - 11:00 am - 2:00pm

Enjoy an outdoor yoga classes specifically designed to cater to the needs of those of us that ride bikes. The class will be taught by Diane a YMCA instructor and avid cyclist. Please bring your own mat. The event is hosted by Downtown Biz and YMCA Winnipeg (Downtown Branch) at the Millennium park, behind the Millennium Library.

Bike Winnipeg: Infrastructure Ride 7-9PM
Join Bike Winnipeg and AT Planner Erik Dickson on our 2017 Infrastructure Tour as we ride along and explain a sampling of the cycling infrastructure that’s sprouted up in Winnipeg over the past few years. Learn how and why some of our city’s cycling infrastructure has been developed, where gaps remain, and get an experts view on what we might see in future years.

Woodcock Cycle Intermediate Road Ride 6:00-8:30/9:00 pm
Join us at Woodcock Cycle 433 St Marys Rd for a no-drop ride (we leave no one behind) as we limit our speed to 25kph from Woodcock Cycle to Grande Pointe. Once we get there you can take a few laps at your own pace and then we’ll group up again for the ride back to Woodcock. This ride is between 60 and 80km depending how many laps you choose to do. The ride will be cancelled if it is teaming down with rain or lighting is sighted. We leave the shop at 6:00 pm sharp.

Winnipeg Trails: World's Shortest Dutch Bike Lane - Corydon Street
Bikes and Beer - 4:30-8:00 pm
Ride a variety of different city bike routes from downtown to Birds Hill Park with the CEO of the Downtown Winnipeg BIZ, Stefano Grande. Head back for a cold beer at one of downtown’s outdoor patios. You can ride the whole approximately 50km route or shorten your ride and meet us back at the patio for a cold beer. Cost Free but bring a little cash to buy yourself a beer and a few nibbles.

Velodonnas Cycling Club Introductory Ride Clinic - 5:30-6:30 pm
- Your bike (any bike)
- HELMET (mandatory)
- Spare tube, tire levers, pump & other tools that you have and want to learn how to use

Woodcock Cycle Destination Ride - 6:00-8:30/9:00PM
Third Annual Woodcock Cycle Family Campout (to coincide with the Great American Campout) 6:00pm - Saturday 1:00pm
- Journey on the DRPT. A seamless route without motorized traffic all the way to BHP
- Pitch a tent with us in a designated area. Campfires (who doesn’t like campfires?), roasting smores, telling those tall cycling tales (family friendly of course)
- bathrooms and water are close
- After a restful sleep and a relaxed morning, we can all head back together.
- Start – 6pm on the Duff Roblin Parkway Trail at the Lagimodiere (Hwy 59) staging area. Check google maps for the location. Lot of parking!
- Leaving DRPT at Gunn Road at 7 pm (has parking lot)
- Leaving DRPT at Garvin Road at 7:30pm and arriving at camp by 8:30 ish. Sunset is 9:41pm so there is lots of time to set up camp.
- Depending on the RSVPs we will either be in a set of campsites grouped together in a cove or we will be in the Group camping area.
- Enjoy the evening at the camp fire with friends, family and riding buddies
- BYOB and bring you own food., who knows what fun happens when a great bunch of people get together.

Folk Fest Practice Ride - 9:30AM start
Be a part of the Ride to the Folk Festival practice ride.
Meet in the parking lot across from the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and north of York at 9:15 am on Saturday, June 23rd. Cyclists will ride as a group to the Folk Festival site in Birds Hill Provincial Park. There will be a backstage tour and lunch available ($5 for adults, $2 for kids) when they arrive at the festival site around 12:30pm. There will also be a rest stop along the way. - Early European (French/Scottish/English) settlement
- Indigenous/settle/Metis cultural exchanges and interactions
- The importance of the Red River and the effects of the of flooding (particularly 1825 & 1852) on early historic sites
- Fur trade associated political struggles and the Pemmican War waged between the North-West Company and the Hudson’s Bay Company
- The political birth of Manitoba
- The evolution of Red River style architecture/construction

Rainbow Trout Music Festival Bike Jam - ????
The folks at the RTMF care about having a good time all year round, and one of their most popular events is the monthly RTMF Bike Jam.
Hundreds and hundreds (or 1000’s at Nuit Blanche 2015) of cyclists hit the city at night following secret routes to street level dance parties. Tunes are provided all along the entire route by our rolling pedal powered stereo systems that take the party wherever they want it to go!!
Good friends, good times, and lots of blinking lights, the RTMF Bike Jams are Winnipegs most unique outdoor community events, and everyone is invited.
Remember, lots of lights and keep to the right!

Recumbent Cyclist Show and Shine - 1:00PM
Always wanted to see some of those cool recumbent bikes up close? Head down to the Forks canopy for a show and shine of a wide variety of recumbent bikes and trikes by the Manitoba Recumbent Cyclists. If you’ve always had an interest in recumbents and want to check out many of the options, this is your chance. Talk to the owners and learn all about their special machines.
There will be a short group ride afterwards that you are sure to want to tag along and see these bikes in action. You don’t need to have a recumbent, just be willing to ride at a leisurely pace.
Cost: Free.
