SUMMARY:Bike Winnipeg: Ride Marshal Training Course
DESCRIPTION:Bike Winnipeg Ride Marshal Training helps create safer group rides for everyone! This course is for those interested in supporting medium to large groups of all ages and abilities. If you are an experienced cyclist this is a great way to get involved in our efforts to get more people biking more often. Although this training is useful for anyone running group rides\, those attending are expected to volunteer to marshal with Bike Winnipeg at least twice this summer. There is no cost for this course. \n\n\n\nAreas covered include: \n\n\n\n\nKeeping people safe on group rides\n\n\n\nEnsuring rides stay on course\n\n\n\nKeeping people together & keeping rides on pace\n\n\n\nCommunicating stops\, turns\, and hazards\n\n\n\nCorking – holding traffic while a ride passes through intersections\n\n\n\nPre-ride bike checks\n\n\n\n\n1st SessionWhen: Saturday\,  May 27th 1:00 – 2:30 pmWhere: Sport 4 Life Centre\, 145 Pacific Ave \n\n\n\n2nd SessionWhen: Monday\,  June 28th 7:00 pm – 8:30 pmWhere: Sport 4 Life Centre\, 145 Pacific Ave \n\n\n\nThe orientation sessions will consist of a short classroom segment to be followed by an on-road segment to practice what we have learned.
