The Fancy Women’s Group Ride is a casual\, social bike ride designed for women to come together\, wear their fanciest outfits\, and enjoy a joyful afternoon on wheels. All folks are welcome\, but women have the spotlight! \n\n\n\nWe’ll start at 2:00 PM from the Fountain at the Leg\, cruise through the city together\, and stop at the Assiniboine Park Duck Pond for a quick water and washroom break—plus a chance for anyone to join us there around 3:00 PM. Then\, we’ll ride back to our starting point\, spreading style and smiles along the way. \n\n\n\nWhether you’re new to biking or a seasoned rider\, this ride is all about fun\, connection\, and community. Think dresses\, suits\, hats\, sparkle\, heels (if you’re brave!)\, and flair. DESCRIPTION:A cycling experience in Winnipeg Treaty 1 to honour Truth and Reconciliation. This 3-hour Ride will begin at the Residential Schools Monument at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and end at the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation at the University of Manitoba using bicycle routes and paths. The Ride will allow participants to learn truth\, reflect on place and history\, ethically engage with land\, and consider the next actions toward Reconciliation. SUMMARY:Cruisin' to Change Lives
DESCRIPTION:Cruisin’ to Change lives is a free\, peer-to-peer fundraising and community event. Hosted by the Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation\, this event raises funds to improve the lives of children living with disabilities who access services at the Rehabilitation Centre for Children. Funds raised by teams support inclusive recreational programs\, vital services\, specialized equipment & technology\, and research\, in addition to bikes which are built to meet and fit the child’s specific needs\, all of which help youth achieve their potential and participate fully in their communities.Attendees are encouraged to bring their bikes to cruise down a 1 or 3 km guided path.
