DESCRIPTION:Local cyclist Steve Lambert shows you that there are various ways to explore Winnipeg on bicycle via trails\, separated paths and speed-reduced residential streets (although there are some areas where the cycling infrastructure leaves a lot to be desired).  \n\n\n\nThere are three bingo cards: an easier one that features more protected infrastructure and direct travel\, a harder one that is more on-road and has some hard-to-find spots\, and a historical tour bringing you to historically significant places in Winnipeg. Each bingo card has 25 or more landmarks. You can click on buttons to be shown a row\, column or loop of landmarks\, which will be highlighted. You can click repeatedly until you find one you like. Some are relatively short (15-20 km) lines of five landmarks. Others are longer. Once you decide on a row\, column or loop\, you can click on the “Map it” button and a suggested route will pop up\, showing you one potential way to reach all of the selected landmarks. There is also a “hardcore” challenge which requires you to visit all landmarks on the bingo card in one day. If you do that and can provide evidence via a publicly available tracker (such as Strava)\, you can be added to our Wall of Fame. See the full map for our easier\, harder\, and history hardcore challenges below along with some helpful .gpx files to keep you on track during your ride.  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWarning: Cycling in Winnipeg includes areas where cyclists are not separated from traffic\, and that suggested routes may not reflect current conditions and that you responsible for planning a route that suits current infrastructure and road conditions as well as your personal health and ability.

DESCRIPTION:Bezhig Miigwan\, One Feather \n\n\n\nA cycling experience in Winnipeg Treaty One to honour the Truth and Reconciliation. \n\n\n\nThis 2-hour ride will begin at the Residential Schools Monument at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and end at the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation at the University of Manitoba using bicycle routes and paths. The ride will allow participants to learn truth\, reflect on place and history\, ethically engage with land\, and consider the next actions toward Reconciliation. We ask participants to arrive with an open mind and curiosity to learn and grow.  \n\n\n\nAdrian Alphonso\, a Band and Community Member of Waywayseecappo First Nation\, is passionate about Indigenous perspective cycling programs and leads on Treaty One Territory land to honour truth and reconciliation. At Momenta\, Adrian delivers outdoor programs to inspire a connection to the land. DESCRIPTION:Join the Bike Week Winnipeg crew for for the Bike to Work Day Group Ride!Starting at Assiniboine Park (south side of the Assiniboine River Park Bridge)we will ride a comfortable route through Bruce Park/Bourkevale\, West Wolseley\, Omands Park\, Wolseley\, West Broadway and finally take the Assiniboine Bike Lane ending at the Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) all-day Pit Stop at the Forks!This is a slow roll\, no drop ride that will stop at several pit-stops along the way. You can join us anywhere along the route and if you need to get to work\, leave us at any time to make it on time.
