DESCRIPTION:Hunt must be completed by 5pm Saturday. \n\n\n\nYou can do this all in one go\, over multiple days\, with a group of friends or individually – whatever works best for you.  However\, all participants will be entered into the draw as solo participants. As long as you hand in your clue sheet to the staff at the final stop sometime between Wed-Sat\, you will be entered into that day’s draw. There will be one daily winner drawn from Wednesday to Friday and three winners drawn on Saturday. Please note that entries past open event times will not be guaranteed entry into the daily draw. \n\n\n\nFor the starting location: solve the magic eye posted to the Park Alleys Instagram Wednesday at noon. Go to that location during the open event times\, and the next clue will be on the wall somewhere inside. There will also be a stack of clue sheets – be sure to grab one and fill out the names of each stop before handing it in at the end.   \n\n\n\nThe day you hand in your clue sheet at the last stop is the day you will be entered in for a draw.  \n\n\n\nPlease take your time and enjoy interacting with the participating businesses throughout the course. There are a lot of treats to be enjoyed along the way\, so no need to rush. \n\n\n\nApproximate distance is 7-10 KM\, and can be accessed primarily through the cycling networks\, or on roads for more direct routes. \n\n\n\nYou will need: a phone and a pen\, access to Instagram\,  and we suggest a helmet\, lights\, water\, sunscreen and make sure to dress for the weather. \n\n\n\nHave fun! Safety first! Share the road and smile and wave! \n\n\n\nBike Week Scavenger Hunt \n\n\n\nCLUE: Magic-eye image \n\n\n\nMagic-eye (stereogram) image puzzle\, and hints to solve or “see” it. \n\n\n\nFIRST METHOD: Hold the center of the image on your phone right up to your nose. It should be blurry. Focus as though you are looking through the image into the distance. Very slowly move the image away from your face until the two squares above the image turn into three squares. If you see four squares\, move the image farther away from your face until you see three squares. If you see one or two squares\, start over! \n\n\n\nWhen you clearly see three squares\, hold the page still and the hidden image will magically appear. Once you perceive the hidden image and depth\, you can look around the entire 3D image. The longer you look\, the clearer the illusion becomes. The farther away you hold the page\, the deeper it becomes. Good Luck! \n\n\n\nSECOND METHOD: Raise your index finger and hold it in front of your face\, about as far away as you would have the magic eye image. Now\, look past your finger and focus on something beyond your finger. It helps if it’s something specific\, a picture on a wall or something like that. You will notice your index finger appears to duplicate in your vision. Now\, focus on your finger. You will notice the picture on the wall is duplicated in your vision. SUMMARY:WPG BIKE BINGO
DESCRIPTION:Local cyclist Steve Lambert shows you that there are various ways to explore Winnipeg on bicycle via trails\, separated paths and speed-reduced residential streets (although there are some areas where the cycling infrastructure leaves a lot to be desired).  \n\n\n\nThere are three bingo cards: an easier one that features more protected infrastructure and direct travel\, a harder one that is more on-road and has some hard-to-find spots\, and a historical tour bringing you to historically significant places in Winnipeg. Each bingo card has 25 or more landmarks. You can click on buttons to be shown a row\, column or loop of landmarks\, which will be highlighted. You can click repeatedly until you find one you like. Some are relatively short (15-20 km) lines of five landmarks. Others are longer. Once you decide on a row\, column or loop\, you can click on the “Map it” button and a suggested route will pop up\, showing you one potential way to reach all of the selected landmarks. There is also a “hardcore” challenge which requires you to visit all landmarks on the bingo card in one day. If you do that and can provide evidence via a publicly available tracker (such as Strava)\, you can be added to our Wall of Fame. See the full map for our easier\, harder\, and history hardcore challenges below along with some helpful .gpx files to keep you on track during your ride.  \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWarning: Cycling in Winnipeg includes areas where cyclists are not separated from traffic\, and that suggested routes may not reflect current conditions and that you responsible for planning a route that suits current infrastructure and road conditions as well as your personal health and ability.

DESCRIPTION:Bike Winnipeg Ride Marshal Training helps create safer group rides for everyone! This workshop is offered for those interested in supporting medium to large groups of all ages and abilities. If you are an experienced cyclist this is a great way to get involved in our efforts to get more people biking more often. Although this training is useful for anyone running group rides\, those attending are expected to volunteer to marshal with Bike Winnipeg at least twice this summer. There is no cost for this course. \n\n\n\nTraining will take place in Room 2 of the Sport Manitoba Building (145 Pacific @ Lily). Bikes can be locked in a secure bike room in the parkade. Ask for the key to the bike room at the security desk. \n\n\n\nPlease RVSP Mark (mark@bikewinnipeg.ca) to attend.  \n\n\n\nTraining is free\, but space is limited.
