DESCRIPTION:Join the Bike Week Winnipeg crew for for the Bike to Work Day Group Ride!Starting at Assiniboine Park (south side of the Assiniboine River Park Bridge)we will ride a comfortable route through Bruce Park/Bourkevale\, West Wolseley\, Omands Park\, Wolseley\, West Broadway and finally take the Assiniboine Bike Lane ending at the Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) all-day Pit Stop at the Forks!This is a slow roll\, no drop ride that will stop at several pit-stops along the way. You can join us anywhere along the route and if you need to get to work\, leave us at any time to make it on time. All Winnipeggers are invited to get on their bikes and ride to work! \n\n\n\nEnjoy free refreshments and camaraderie at the many pit stops across the city as you ride to work.6:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Bike To Work Day Pit StopsStop in at any of the Bike to Work Day Pit Stops around the city and enjoy the company of other people on their bike ride to work. Hosted by a variety of different organizations and communities these pit-stops offer a variety of food\, drink\, prizes. We’ll have volunteers at most pit-stops ready to pump up those tires or add a little lubrication to your chain and in some cases minor bike tune-ups as well. \n\n\n\n9:00am-2:00pm: All Day Pit Stop at The Forks presented by MPIVisit Bike Week Winnipeg and MPI for a cinnamon bun from Tall Grass Prairie\, birthday treats\, and a high five throughout the day. This pit stop is located just outside the Forks Market by the train cars. Park your bike and step into the Forks for a tasty treat\, or lunch!”

DESCRIPTION:IRide! Is a casual\, relaxed pace group ride to bring together the many diverse faces of people who ride bikes. We will gather to ride and celebrate the many faces\, bodies\, ages\, abilities and experiences of cycling. All bodies are good bodies and all bikes are good bikes! \n\n\n\nMeet us at 6pm at The WRENCH kiosk at The Forks Market! All participants music wear helmets\, and follow our ride leader’s directions. The ride will depart at 6:30pm\, and will be approx 18km and 1 1/2 hours\, with a return to our starting point at The WRENCH Forks Kiosk. \n\n\n\nJoin us to pedal together in a celebration of diversity and community in cycling! \n\n\n\nMeet-Up: Arrive at 6 PM for an orientation and safety briefing to ensure everyone enjoys a safe ride.Departure: The ride officially departs at 6:30 PM.Safety First: Helmets are recommended for all riders.Weather Plan: In case of inclement weather\, the rain date is scheduled for Friday\, June 14th.
